Dr. John Kasarda
The Indianapolis Airport Authority has engaged Dr. John Kasarda, Director of the Kenan Instutue of Private Enterprise at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flager Business School, to advise the LandINSight process. Dr. Kasarda is a consultant for airports around the world about the aerotropolis concept, a form of urban development in which clusters of aviation-dependent businesses are established near airports and extend outward along connecting transportation corridors. The impacts of an aerotropolis are far reaching for both an airport and those who live and work in surrounding areas, helping to create destination retail and urban centers with the airport at the center.
